Cambridge Pants - INDIGO-BLUE - 2 - Talbots is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for work and comfortable. Super comfortable and dressy enough for work. Pants fit OK for an apple shape due to the give in the waist. A bit large in the hips for apple-shaped figures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to run large I originally ordered these in a 6 (my regular size), and they were way too large. I returned them and ordered the same gorgeous brown color, in a 4. I did this to amuse myself, as I was certain that they would be too small and too short. Imagine my surprise when they fit perfectly! I like the lighter weight of the fabric, too. I’m a great fan of functional pockets, so I was happy to find these as part of the styling. I’m not sure how they will wash and wear, but I like them enough to order in other colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprised I liked the pull-on pant! Salesperson encouraged me to try on this pant and when I walked around the store, I received many comments on how good they looked on me. I purchased them and took them home and considered did I want to keep them for several weeks. One negative is the fabric - there is a weave in the fabric that reminds me of inexpensive polyester. I compared them to my stand-by Talbots pant - the side-zip bi-stretch - and decided they fit better around my butt and thighs. I am accustomed to wearing a slimmer cut at the ankle and this pant is taking getting used to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Underwhelming I was really looking forward to add these pull-on pants to my wardrobe. As soon as I unwrapped them I was disappointed that the waistband is elastic and looks like something my grandmother might have worn. The material has very little stretch - similar to crepe and there is a sewn in crease. I ordered three pair, prepared to love them. Sadly they will be returned. As to sizing - they were too tight to be comfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cambridge pants color rich Burgundy in 6petite... I am very particular, when I received the above pants I checked the leg openings and was dismayed to find they did not match, they were over 1quarterinch difference so each side measured 1 half inch altogether, I had purchased 2 other colors in the same pant they were fine..I will take them back to the store, and I hope the pair I will receive soon will be correct..I don’t expect this after all they aren’t cheap...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! Pants that fit me I really didn't want pull on pants but Virigina (wonderful salesperson at 53 and Madison in NYC) suggested I try them on. I have thin legs, no backside to speak of but a large waist. Finding pants is no easy feat because if they look good in the legs, they are sagging in the back and don't close on the waist. I've gotten compliments on these pants. I bought in black but went back and bought in brown and grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit Fits true to size. I love the slash pockets. I wish Talbots would have more styles with slash pockets. Very comfortable with the two-way stretch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted The fit is a bit snug but it will fit a true 16W. A comfortable everyday trouser look.

What style pants are best for a short curvy figure? Cambridge, Hampshire Chatham?

Asked by: Margaret
The Chatham is a more fitted, slim leg pant that is ankle length.  It has a side zip and flat front.  The Hampshire is a great fitting pant.  It is very comfortable and has a straight, ankle leg but it does have a front zipper which creates bulk so if you don't like that I would avoid the Hampshire.  The new Cambridge is very nice.  Comfortable and with the pull on style there's no bulk in the front.  It has a straight leg and would work nicely for those with a curvy figure.  If you're short you'll definitely want to order a petite in any of these pant styles.  I think all three styles would work fine with a short, curvy figure.  It all depends on what you feel comfortable in.

Do these work for curvy shapes?

Asked by: Tanya
Yes, I was surprised as how well these fit. Have always and only been able to wear the curvy fit and this new style fits great.....because of the style these pants fit at the waistline and were not too tight in the thighs, my problem area for the normal Talbot's pant, or too big in the back of the thighs which can sometimes happen in the some of the curvy style.

Do you have a suggestion as to what I should wear with the Cambridge Dark Brown Pants, in Petite Small? Thank you.

Any shades of green, beige, creams and even the orange shades

Will these pants shrink as many of Talbot's pants do when laundered?  I like the fit, but if it shrinks any, it could be too snug for comfort.  The next size seems too loose.
