Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Cashmere I had to size up for this beautiful Cashmere sweater. I am size small petites in the tops and had to buy size medium in this sweater. Please Talbot carry more color in the store.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the same as it used to be... I've loved Talbots' cashmere in the past, so I was looking forward to receiving this sweater. However, I found this sweater to be unbearably itchy! I don't typically react to cashmere, but I am allergic to wool. I have no idea what's going on, but I had to send the sweater back. It's a pity, but it's not worth being uncomfortable. I found another store's cashmere to be far more comfortable, making me think perhaps this is an issue involving the grade of cashmere used...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice cashmere I love this sweater but you’ll have to size up. I’m typically a misses small or medium in tops depending on the style, but I had to size up to a misses large which I’ve never ever done. The olive is a beautiful shade and I’ll be buying more colors!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dark Dark Dark Green The dark green in bright lighting is nice. Otherwise, it is way too dark. I returned it.

Questions

I love the almond heather, but need full length sleeves for the colder months and regions. Will Talbots bring this out later in the fall with full length sleeves?

Asked by: mandy
Yes! The Almond Heather Cashmere will be available in our November selection in a turtleneck, crewneck, and Sabrina (portrait neck) style. All three options will have long sleeves.

if it is cold enough to wear a cashmere sweater we need our LONG SLEEVES - to keep our arms warm so why are Talbots wool sweaters designed with 3/4 sleeves? I will not buy them. Please pass this on!! Such pretty colors and styles otherwise.

Asked by: Lauren
Great point. I love this sweater and get several every season.  Maybe the 3/4 sleeve is an option to keep but given this is such an essential classic why not make the long sleeve version as well? It makes total sense in the wintertime and given the high neckline (which I love in general) if you are busty or broad shouldered the 3/4 sleeve emphasizes that and can make you look like a linebacker...whereas the long sleeve would give a more elongated balanced look.  It’s time Talbots!!! And that sales associate “who can’t stand long sleeves on any garment” was totally clueless out of line and rude.

From where is the cashmere sourced? I noticed a lot of Talbots clothing is manufactured in China. I try to avoid cashmere sourced from there. They don’t treat the rabbits with as much care as I expect.

Asked by: Elizabeth
I do not know where Talbots cashmere is sourced, but, I can tell you that their cashmere sweaters are of superior quality. ( I have at least a dozen) I have purchased cashmere from other retailers and the quality is nowhere near as good as Talbots. And by the way, cashmere comes from goats, not rabbits.
