Not the best
Returned this. Not a great fit like the Aberdeen blazer. The fabric was creased oddly as well.

Wonderful and Classic
I bought the red color, the blazer can be worn with so many ways. 1. To work with a skirt or dress pants. 2. Casual with jeans for a lunch/dinner with friends. 3. I will also wear it as a jacket outside when the weather is warm.

Poor quality makes this a fail
I bought this in a plus size navy because I’ve been searching hi and lo for something navy to wear with jeans that isn’t a crepe. While this has character the cheap, stiff velvet wasn’t able to drape well at all making the whole thing boxy and unflattering. And it’s not just because it’s velvet - as compared to a thirteen year old Fourth and Towne black velvet jacket I still own, this doesn’t belong in the same closet.

Great quality, fit and sizing
Wish i bought it in navy blue too! The pink was much more vibrant than it appeared online. Wasn't sure it would work for me. It did!

Runs a bit small
Nice jacket, but runs a bit small, kept and wore it to church with other Talbot's clothing. Had many compliments. No stretch to the fabric, tight in middrift. Ok to wear ooen to show off sweater though. Recommend going a size up.

Sometimes I have issues with Talbots sleeves being too long. But everything about this blazer fits perfectly and the fuschia color is great.

Classic blazer!
I bought this in red and am pleased with the fabric and fit. It has a luxurious feel to it. Since I'll mostly wear it for dress, I'd prefer fancier buttons, but the plain brown ones lend it to wearing in a casual manner as well.

Does this jacket fit large, small, or true to size?
I was surprised that this gorgeous jacket ran so small on me (I normally wear a 10) Could not wear a turtleneck under it like I did with my black one I purchased last year. So sad as it really is pretty but its going back.

I have just recently purchased the carriage green jacket – – I love the color it is beautiful – – however I am having difficulty and matching it with a nice sweater and pants? Could you please give me directions and what color of paint should be worn ?
Navy pants, mustard yellow, dark blue jeans or original wash jeans. The under-color of the collar looks navy. Hope that helps!

Is that fabric on the stiff side
The fabric is not considered to be stiff. The velvet is soft. The lining is used to help the jacket keep its shape and is soft as well.
