Happy with the pant.
Nice fabric, doesn't wrinkle easily. I 5' and ordered the women's petite. It was a bit long and I shortened the pant. Looks good for dress or casual.

Perfect Wool Slacks
I love these slacks for winter! I live in the Mid-Atlantic and part of my commute includes standing at bus stops and walking to/from Metro stations, so I was looking for something that would keep me warm, but would also work well for being indoors at work. These fit the bill. I bought a pair in grey back in the fall, and ended up buying another pair in navy this spring (they won't get worn until winter, but I can't wait!). They wear great and are incredibly comfortable. I even wore them ice skating (an impromptu adventure with some coworkers after work on a Friday!) and had no complaints.

Classic--then and now!
I love the material. Unfortunately petite is still too long for me so I must pay to get them shortened. Because I bought these on sale I couldn't get the 16P that I normally wear and settled for a 14W. Education is expensive, so they say. I would much rather have had the better fit (and shorter) and that is why 4-stars and not 5.

Classic wool pants
Fit is true to size. Quality fabric and fully lined. Classic style that should serve me well over 3 seasons.

Wrong size for my figure. Too small and too long.
Unfortunately returned. Did not fit. Purchased something else in Towson store.

Not what I expected
It was too small. I wear the same size in other Talbot clothing

How many inches is the hemline to let out? I need 34-35 inch inseam.
On my new brown pair (size 4P), there is at most 1.5 inches to let down -- *if you used bias tape inside and a very narrow seam allowance. If you wear the pants a size up, like I do, for a more "Katharine Hepburn loose trouser" effect, you can gain maybe 1/2 inch in length by letting the pants slide down on hips a bit.
