Size up if you order this please
This year’s version of the solid Audrey Cashmere Sweater feels like it is one size too small. For reference I wear PS. I did order one of the printed Audrey Cashmere Sweaters and that sweater fit perfectly.

Soft perfection
Love this sweater. So soft and comphy, and true to size. Wore it to a Holiday Sunday Brunch with a sweater blazer I purchased at the same time. The blazer has a little silver threading woven with white and black, so the grey sweater went perfectly.

Scratchiest cashmere I've ever felt. And the fit was too tight. I even ordered a women's size so it would be roomier, which i seldom do.

I ordered the Misses Medium in Ivory, I normally wear a Petite Medium, sometimes a Misses M, in tees. I did not like the 3/4 length sleeves, the overall fit felt a little on the snug side, and it is slightly see thru, but maybe with a nude colored cami it would work. I did not like it enough to keep and will be returning.

Love these sweaters
These sweaters are quality cashmere that keep their shape through wearing and dry cleaning, without pilling. I have accumulated 8 in recent years, being careful to hit the sales. Lovely garments, true sizing.

Great Fit
My wife bought this for herself in black and white in size 10 . She once gave me the black to her when we go out and she wears white. We were the sweaters with slim jeans and the same gladiator sandals and i love how it feels

Questions
I have several Audrey cashmere sweaters that I sent to dry cleaners instead of hand washing. I've lost 7 pounds and the sweaters appear to have shrunk some. Does cashmere shrink? Should I purchase larger size? I'm going to start hand washing.
We recommend following the care instructions provided by the manufacturer to prolong the life of the garment.

if it is cold enough to wear a cashmere sweater we need our LONG SLEEVES - to keep our arms warm so why are Talbots wool sweaters designed with 3/4 sleeves? I will not buy them. Please pass this on!! Such pretty colors and styles otherwise.
When I wear a sweater I want long sleeves because I’m cold and/or it’s cold outside. Other season sweaters are ok to be 3/4 sleeve..except cardigans. I think it’s done to save manufacturing costs because the money they save on the shorter sleeve never ends up in the quality of the cashmere. I’ll wear my 20 yr old cashmeres (yes they’re still going strong and have many more years in them) till they fall apart because you can’t match their quality....or their warmth.

What is the length of the 3X this year? I bought three Audrey’s last year but they come up short.
The 3X measures approximately 27" from the high point of the neckline down the back.

What, pray tell, is an Audrey neckline in industry terms. I am not versed.
I think the Audrey is a name given by Talbots and not an industry standard. The Audrey neckline is similar to a jewel neckline or crew neck line in that it is not scooped or boat style or bateau. It is round and fits fairly close to the neck. There is a subtle ribbed band outside that is barely visible and a subtle ribbed band inside for structure.

Is this years Audrey sweater longer than previous years?
I personally believe they are. I had to go up one size for fit, but then the sweater was way too long, so I opted for a petite fit. Previous year's Audrey I was a 1X, this year I am a 2X petite.....
