    Dress for Success®


Our partnership with Dress for Success® is a natural fit and one we're very proud of. We truly believe in the great work they do helping women access the tools they need to re-enter the workforce. Since 1977, Dress for Success® has helped more than 925,000 women work towards self-sufficiency.





Spring 2019

In 2019, we celebrated our fifth year of partnership with Dress for Success® and designed another exclusive limited-edition collection with O, The Oprah Magazine. This collaboration raised over $1.9 million in sales and monetary donations, and we collected 2,900 boxes of nearly-new, wear-to-work clothing. Together, we have positively impacted the lives of more than 125,000 women to help them reach their fullest potential in work and in life. Spring 2018

In our fourth year supporting Dress for Success®, we raised over $1.5 million from our exclusive O, The Oprah Magazine Capsule Collection sales and monetary donations and collected thousands of boxes of nearly-new professional clothing for DFS. Through the partnership, we have now positively affected the lives of more than 100,000 women. Our annual impact is the result of the relationships we share with women in communities across the country to collectively Give Confidence, Hope, and Style.



Spring 2017

March inaugurated our third year of partnership with Dress for Success® and our second collaboration with O, The Oprah Magazine on another exclusive capsule collection. The collaboration helped raise over $1.25 million and over 4,000 boxes of nearly-new professional clothing. Together, we were able to help over 25,000 women (in addition to the 20,000 we helped last year). And, it's not just about those 45,000 women. When you help a woman achieve her goals, you impact her children, her family and her community in a positive way.



Spring 2016

In March, Talbots teamed up with O, The Oprah Magazine to create an unprecedented exclusive capsule collection, with net proceeds benefitting Dress for Success. Sales of the collection, along with clothing and financial donations, helped to raise $1 million. Talbots was able to help over 20,000 women. And we couldn't have done it without the passion and generosity of our Talbots family.



Spring 2015

Our commitment to helping women express their most authentic selves is shared by Dress for Success®. And in Spring 2015 we created a campaign to help inspire and empower women re-entering the workforce. Customers were invited to clean out their closets and bring gently used wear-to-work items to their local Talbots. And encouraged to make a monetary gift.



National Breast Cancer Foundation®

Think pink...for a good cause.

It's all about helping women lead full, healthy lives. At Talbots, we have a continuing commitment to supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation® in their mission to fight the disease through early detection and education.

Fall 2018

October brought our fifth year of partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation®. We collaborated with five internationally renowned female artists, including Lulu DK, Caroline So, Annie Davidson, Hannah Davies and Gladys Perint Palmer, to create a limited-edition collection of one-of-a-kind scarves. Each scarf was inspired by the artists' personal connections with breast cancer and 20% of net proceeds benefitted NBCF.

Fall 2017

In October, we created a cozy wool scarf with a heart and plaid pattern specifically designed to reach the heart of those who've been affected by breast cancer. 20% of the net proceeds benefitted NBCF in providing the tools for early detection and education.

Fall 2016

For October, we designed a luxurious colorblock wrap that was perfect for crisp fall days. 20% of the net proceeds of sales of the wrap benefitted NBCF. As a plus-up for store traffic, we raffled off a Schwinn® bicycle in each store—pink of course.

Fall 2015

We created a capsule collection of fall pieces—both clothing and accessories—as part of our October offering. 20% of the net proceeds benefitted NBCF. We also enlisted health care workers as ambassadors for the importance of education and awareness.

Fall 2014

During the month of October, we put the spotlight on some of our own associates, who generously shared their inspirational stories—and how breast cancer impacted their lives. 20% of the net proceeds of an exclusive tee benefitted NBCF.
